I am a full time radiographer and a part-time high-school mathematics tutor (and a coffee addict).
Ever since starting my professional career as a radiographer, I knew that teaching and education was the direction that I wanted to head. Even during my internship year I had approached a few universities with the intention of becoming a radiography laboratory assistant.
My career in radiography has only been one giant leap to another. I have been very blessed with the support and guidance that I have received from many mentors and supervisors. With their support, I have taken on temporary senior roles as the CT supervisor, student and intern supervisor, and professional development coordinator.
Although I have presented at national and international conferences and chaired some scientific meetings, I realised that I wasn’t always entirely happy with myself. After many years of reflection (and many more years of tutoring mathematics under my belt), I realised that clinical education, teaching and student self-discovery was what made me, me. Hence this website was born.
This website is my way of helping myself do what I love doing – teaching. I wanted an avenue to consolidate my teaching materials but also to help me identify what else I lacked (and trust me, there is heaps to learn still!). I pay for the cost of this website out of my own pocket in the hope that I can inspire others to continually learn and become better professionals – in their work ethics and professional skills.
